SUMMARY MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF THE A.S.A.C. September 28, 1981, AND REFERRAL
OF RECOMMENDED DECISIONS OF VARIOUS PUBLIC HEARINGS TO THE CITY COUNCIL. MEETING
HELD IN ROOM 106 OF CITY HALL, CUPERTINO, CALIFORNIA.
Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Rooker with a salute to the flag.
ROLL CALL:
Present: Higdon, Morrison, Nobel and Chairman Rooker
Absent: Miller
Staff Present: Steve Piasecki, Associate Planner; Sonia Binnendyk, Planner I
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Minutes of September 14, 1981 were approved as submitted
CONTINUED ITEM:
1. Application 21-U-81 - Clifford C. Beck - Use Permit to construct 14 residential
dwelling units on approximately one acre. The subject property is located west
of Saratoga -Sunnyvale Road and south of Wildflower Way, behind Galaxy Lighting Store.
Presentation: Marvin Kirkeby, Andrew Perolio, Jr.
Concerns were expressed regarding the visibility of the asphalt parking lot and
the lack of a sense of arrival at the property's entrance-. In order to address
these concerns the Committee recommends that the property's entrance be land-
scaped.
The Committee also recommends that the yard along the western property line be
level.
INFORMAL REVIEW OF USE PERMIT APPLICATIONS:
2. Application 22-U-81 - Happy Daze Preschool - Use Permit to operate a preschool
for approximately 30 children. The subject property consists of approximately
.45 acres located on the south side of Cali Avenue, 170 ft. east of De Anza Blvd.
Presentation: None (Applicant ill)
The Committee recommends that the property be better maintained. This should be
required in lieu of the improvements normally required of commercial use permit
applicants.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
3. Application HC -51,471.1 - Woodspring Condominiums - Informal review of requirements
for handicap ramp at Homestead entrance to building.

Chairman Rooker adjourned the meeting to the next regular meeting of October 12, 1981
