PUBLIC HEARINGS:
1. Application 1-Z-83 of VALLCO PARK, LTD.: REZONING approximately 42 acres
from OP (Professional Office) and CG (General Commercial) to P (Planned
Development with commercial, office and hotel intent) zoning district or
whatever zone may be deemed appropriate by the Planning Commission and
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW: An Environmental Impact Report is being prepared
as part of the General Plan Amendment (1-GPA-8O). The rezoning is
requested to permit construction of a hotel and approximately 1.6 million
sq. ft. mixed use development consisting of multi -story office and
commercial expansion to the Vallco Fashion Park Regional Shopping Center.
The subject property is located on the north side of Stevens Creek
Boulevard, east side of Wolfe Road, south side of Vallco Parkway and
at the northeast corner of Stevens Creek Boulevard and Tantau Avenue.
First Hearing continued.
2. Applications 16-U-83 and 5 -TM -83 of D.C.E. INC. (RICHARD CHILDRESS):
USE PERMIT to construct five detached single-family homes; TENTATIVE
SUBDIVISION MAP to subdivide approximately one acre into five parcels
ranging in size from 7,000 sq. ft. to 8,000 sq. ft. and ENVIRONMENTAL
REVIEW: The project was previously assessed, hence, no action is
required. The subject property is located on the north side of
Almaden Avenue approximately 100 ft. west of Orange Avenue in a P
(Planned Development with single-family residential intent) zoning
District. First Hearing. Tentative City Council hearing date - June 20, 1983.
3. Application 6 -TM -83 of WHALEY AND ASSOCIATES: TENTATIVE PARCEL MAP
to subdivide approximately .7 acre into two parcels and ENVIRONMENTAL
REVIEW: The project is categorically exempt, hence, no action is required.
The subject property is located on the southwest corner of Alcalde Road
and Santa Lucia Road in a R1-7.5 (Residential single-family, 7,500 sq. ft.
minimum lot size) zoning district. First Hearing.

4. Applications 4-Z-83 and 15-U-83 of DESIGN ANALYSIS: REZONING approximately
10 gross acres from OP (Planned Office) zone to P (Planned
Development) zone or whatever zone may be deemed appropriate by the Planning
Commission, USE PERMIT to construct two office buildings totaling approxi-
mately 39,000 sq. ft. and ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW: The Environmental Review
Committee recommends the granting of a Negative Declaration. The subject
property is located in the southeast quadrant of De Anza Boulevard and
Rodrigues Avenue. First Hearing. Tentative City Council hearing date -
July 5, 1983.
5. Application 26-U-74 (Revised) of BETHEL LUTHERAN CHURCH: USE PERMIT to
construct an elementary school play yard at an existing church facility
and ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW: The Environmental Review Committee recommends
the granting of a Negative Declaration. The subject property is located
on the southwest corner of Finch Avenue and Sorenson Avenue in a BQ
(Quasi -Public) zoning district. First Hearing.
6. Application 17-U-83 of TOWN CENTER PROPERTIES (JASON CHARTIER): USE PERMIT
to construct 232 attached residential condominium units and a four story,
81,500 sq. ft. office building and ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW: The Environmental
Review Committee recommends the granting of a Negative Declaration. The
subject property is located between Stevens Creek Boulevard and Rodrigues
Avenue east of the future extension of Torre Avenue in a P (Planned
Development with commercial, office and residential, 15-30 dwelling units
per gross acre intent) zoning district. First Hearing. Tentative City
Council hearing date - June 20, 1983.

7. Application 25 -TM -81 - Ralph Hardie - Request for Extension of Tentative
Parcel Map.
