A RESOLUTION OF THE CUPERTINO CITY COUNCIL
ESTABLISHING THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING SCHEDULE
THROUGH JANUARY 20, 2027
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to set an annual City Council meeting
calendar to establish dates and times assisting City Council and staff with advance
planning and scheduling of City business; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Cupertino Municipal Code Section 2.04.010, the
following calendar is established, notwithstanding the scheduling of additional
regular meetings and the addition of special meetings and study sessions pursuant
to the Brown Act; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 25-021 adopting the Cupertino City
Council Procedures Manual, Council sets a recess beginning the first Tuesday in
August and ending the Tuesday following the week of Labor Day. The standard
recess period would end the day after the regularly scheduled Tuesday meeting
on September 1, 2026, the City Council suspend the recess provision in the
Procedures Manual for this period and hold the regularly scheduled meeting on
Tuesday, September 1, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to cancel the meeting on Tuesday,
February 17, 2026, and to call a special meeting on Thursday, February 19, 2026;
and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Vice Mayor shall be selected annually at a
special meeting on the second Thursday of December; and
WHEREAS, Council wishes to cancel the January 5, 2027 regular meeting;
and
WHEREAS, Council wishes to cancel the January 19, 2027 regular meeting
and call a special meeting on January 20, 2027.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby
establish and order as follows.
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby establishes 6:45 p.m. as the regular
meeting time for each regular meeting, except when Council is in recess. On

regular meeting days, the City Council shall reserve the time beginning at five-
thirty p.m. for closed sessions.
SECTION 2. The City Council establishes the following meeting schedule
through January 20, 2027.

SECTION 3. With proper notice during the year, meetings may be cancelled
or added as necessary pursuant to the Brown Act.
