RESOLUTION NO. 1365
OF THE ARCHITECTURAL AND SITE APPROVAL COMMITTEE OF
THE CITY OF CUPERTTNO DENYING VARIOUS EXCEPTIONS FROM
ORDINANCE 1438 FOR SETBACKS FOR A SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING
APPLICANT/DEVELOPER: Lung-Seng Shill
PROPERTY OWNER: Tommy Shwe
APPLICANT'S ADDRESS: 3083 Lawrence Expressway
Santa Clara, California 95051
PROJECT LOCATION: 11137 Clarkston Avenue
FINDINGS:
The Architectural and Site Approval Committee finds as follows with regard
to the subject application:
1) The narrow lot depth constitutes a hardship not of the applicant's
making, and justifies granting of an exception. However, the proposed
dwelling is not in scale to the surrounding neighborhood. The
resulting perception of mass, particularly in regard to the front
elevation, renders the degree of exception requested beyond that
necessary to accomplish the purpose for which the exception is sought.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of March, 1988 at a regular meeting of
the Architectural and Site Approval Committee of the City of Cupertino,
State of California, by the following roll call vote:
