WHEREAS, Cupertino/Sunnyvale Senior Day Services celebrated its 21st Anniversary in June 2001, and
WHEREAS, CSSDS has provided daily respite for caregivers and activities for seniors with long-term illnesses, and
WHEREAS, CSSDS is a licensed not-for-profit Adult Day Care program for semi-independent seniors. CSSDS supports the community of semi-independent senior citizens by sustaining and stimulating
the human spirit, and
WHEREAS, Daily activities and caring employees help diminish depression and alleviate caregiver burnout. Most CSSDS seniors do not go to nursing facilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Mayor Sandra James, and the Cupertino City Council, do hereby commend and recognize
Cupertino/Sunnyvale Senior Day Services
for its twenty-one years of outstanding service to the community and people of Cupertino.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Thursday, October Eighteen, Two Thousand and One.
