WHEREAS, on Wednesday, May Twenty-three, Two Thousand and One, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize Judge Edwin Pearce at a gathering in his honor, for his outstanding contributions
to the children, families and City of Cupertino; and
WHEREAS, Judge Pearce has served as a judge for the Santa Clara County Youth Court for eight years and will be retiring from the bench after more than two decades of dedicated public
service as part of the judiciary; and
WHEREAS, Judge Pearce has been a profoundly effective advocate for the interests of the community and those of at-risk youth in his court. His quiet yet profound personal commitment
has extended beyond his official duties as demonstrated by his service as a mentor for troubled youth and by the profound respect and esteem with which he is held by those whose have
worked with him.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that Mayor Sandra James, and the Cupertino City Council, do hereby commend and recognize
Edwin Pearce
For creating his dedication to those youth most in need, thereby creating a better and a stronger community for the people of Cupertino.
IN WITNESS THISEOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Wednesday, May Twenty-three, Two Thousand and One.
