WHEREAS, on Saturday, March 31, Two Thousand and One, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize the Outback Steakhouse at a gathering of the Cupertino Chamber of Commerce, in recognition
of their outstanding contributions to the city, community and people of Cupertino; and
WHEREAS, the staff at Outback Steakhouse, under the leadership of proprietor Bill Sullivan, spend their free time volunteering for many local charities; and
WHEREAS, With a strong passion for youth and sports, the Outback actively supports many causes and organizations in Cupertino, including the Pacific Autism Center for Education, Fremont
Union High School District, as well as countless elementary and high schools; and
WHEREAS, the Outback also helps keep culture alive in Cupertino by supporting the Cupertino Historical Society and the Library Foundation.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that Mayor Sandra James, and the City Council of Cupertino, do hereby commend and recognize
the Outback Steakhouse
For creating a stronger community for the businesses and people of Cupertino.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Friday, March 31, Two Thousand and One.
