WHEREAS, the Cupertino Parks and Recreation Commission wishes to recognize the accomplishments of the Cupertino Kung Fu Club, a Cupertino Parks and Recreation Department co-sponsored
club, and;
WHEREAS, the Cupertino Kung Fu Club have traveled to national and international competitions since 1992; and
WHEREAS, through this organization’s further efforts, the Cupertino Kung Fu Club have earned the opportunity to participate at the First Pan-American Shuai-Chiao/Kung Fu Tournament in
Rio de Janiero, Brazil, March 31 to April 1, 2001; and
WHEREAS, it is recognized that Eric Brooks, Jan-Yu Weng, Leo Wong, She-Peng Weng, and Emeric Chen will compete on behalf of the Cupertino Kung Fu Club and its co-sponsor the Cupertino
Parks and Recreation Department.
NOW, therefore, the Cupertino Parks and Recreation Commission does hereby congratulate the
Cupertino Kung Fu Club
and wish the club and its members success at the First Pan-American Shuai-Chiao/Kung Fu Tournament
