WHEREAS, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize the accomplishments of the Cupertino Cougars, Bantam A Division Hockey Team, on occasion of winning the 2000–2001 State Championship
in their division; and,
WHEREAS, the Cupertino Cougars won the Northern California division, successfully competing against nine other teams; and,
WHEREAS, through this team’s further efforts, the Cupertino Cougars earned the opportunity to participate at the State Championships in Roseville, California, this April; and,
WHEREAS, it is recognized that the Cupertino Cougars, beat the Pasadena Maple Leafs to win the State Championship.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that Mayor Sandra James, and the Cupertino City Council, do hereby commend and recognize

for his exceptional commitment, hard work and contributions to the 2000-2001 State Champion Cupertino Cougars.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Monday, June Eighteen, Two Thousand and One.
