WHEREAS, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize the longevity, vitality and accomplishments of Louise Price on the occasion of the celebration of her one hundredth birthday on Wednesday,
June Nineteenth, Two-Thousand and Two, and
WHEREAS, Louise is the daughter of German immigrants. She grew up in San Francisco and was four years old when the 1906 earthquake happened, and
WHEREAS, in 1945, she and her husband moved to Los Altos. She subsequently worked for the Los Altos Post Office for 11 years. Louise currently lives at the Forum Rancho San Antonio
in Cupertino, and
WHEREAS, Louise joined the El Camino Hospital Auxiliary on June 26, 1976. She has volunteered in the gift shop since joining the Auxiliary and has volunteered 25,000 hours, an equivalent
of 13 years of full time employment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Mayor Richard Lowenthal, and the Cupertino City Council, do hereby commend and recognize
Louise Price
for her accomplishments and for the profound and positive example she has made for the community and people of Cupertino.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Thursday, October Eighteen, Two Thousand and One.
