WHEREAS, this Thursday, September Nineteenth, Two-Thousand and Two, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize Susan Fuller on the occasion of her retirement; and
WHEREAS, Susan Fuller has served as Librarian for Santa Clara County since 1985; and
WHEREAS, Susan has been instrumental in developing innovative ways of providing library services and building state-of-the-art libraries throughout the county; and
WHEREAS, through her tenure and remarkable individual efforts, Susan has maintained exceptional communication with the multitude of agencies and resident she has served; and
WHEREAS, Susan has made the Santa Clara County Library system one of the top ten library systems in the U.S., and has been named Librarian of the Year by the Library Journal.
NOW, therefore, I, City Manager David Knapp, and the Cupertino City Council, do hereby recognize and commend
Susan A. Fuller
for her outstanding and service to the people, community and City of Cupertino.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this 19th day of September 2002.
