WHEREAS, on Tuesday, November 26, 2002, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize Randy Okamura at a gathering in his honor, for his outstanding contributions to the children, families
and City of Cupertino; and
WHEREAS, Randy was elected Trustee of the Fremont Unified High School District Board of Trustees in 1994. He was elected president in 1997 and 2000. Randy is known throughout the area
as one who has worked tirelessly on numerous projects on behalf of the FUHSD; and
WHEREAS, Randy has been involved with numerous community groups in many different capacities including the National Asian Pacific American Legal Consortium, Digital Clubhouse Network,
Japanese American Citizen’s League, and field hockey coach.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that I, Mayor Michael Chang, and the Cupertino City Council, do hereby commend and recognize
Randy Okamura
for creating better schools and a stronger community for the people and City of Cupertino during his many years of service with the Fremont Unified High School District Board of Trustees.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Tuesday, November 26, 2002.
