WHEREAS, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize the accomplishments of Mikell Harshbarger has been honored as the Cupertino Union School District's 2002-03 teacher of the year, and
WHEREAS, The Kennedy Middle School math, science and performing arts teacher, attended National University in San Jose, where he received his multiple-subject teaching credential in
1994, and
WHEREAS, Harshbarger has provided outstanding education for students by providing personal attention and a quality curriculum, and
WHEREAS, Harshbarger’s professional excellence is exemplified by his excellent rapport with his students. His enthusiasm and commitment are exemplified by the example he sets for his
students.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Mayor Richard Lowenthal, and the Cupertino City Council, do hereby commend and recognize
Mikell Harshbarger
on occasion of his receipt of the Cupertino Union School District 2002-2003 teacher of the year, and for the remarkable example he has made for the community and people of Cupertino.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Monday, November Twenty-One, Two Thousand and Two.
