WHEREAS, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize the accomplishments of Joe Hamilton on the occasion of his retiring as Superintendent of the Fremont Union High School District, and
WHEREAS, as an instructor since 1963, Joe was an outstanding teacher for both his students in Social Sciences and other teachers as part of the Teacher Corps Project, and
WHEREAS, in 1992, Joe began serving as Associate Superintendent of Administrative Services for the High School District. Joe’s involvement in District issues ranged from a sensitive
mascot transition to establishing business and community partnerships as well as helping to found the Fremont Union High Schools Foundation, and
WHEREAS, during his tenure as Superintendent, Joe has excelled in sharing and implementing his view for the future. Outstanding academic achievement, school facility modernization, innovative
technology programs and excellent staff and student relations have been the hallmark of Joe’s tenure.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Mayor Richard Lowenthal, and the Cupertino City Council, do hereby commend and recognize
Joe Hamilton
for his abiding legacy of excellence and outstanding personal contributions as Superintendent of the Fremont Union High School District and for the service he has given to the community
and people of Cupertino.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Monday, July First, Two Thousand and Two.
