WHEREAS, on Wednesday, December 4, 2002, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize the men and women of De Anza College who have devoted numerous hours to train and participate in Basketball,
Cross Country, Football, and Soccer; and
WHEREAS, these athletes have taken the responsibility with the guidance of their coaches, to make themselves an effective part of the 35 years of De Anza history by having represented
the institution admirably as goodwill ambassadors; and
WHEREAS, these athletes are cognizant of the commitment and diligence needed to actively involve themselves in extracurricular sports programs at De Anza College and all have worked
with discipline and determination in their respective sport.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that I, Mayor Michael Chang, and the Cupertino City Council, do hereby proclaim December 4, 2002 as
Recognition Day for
DeAnza College Fall Athletes
in recognition that many people will only their community and their college by the personal contribution of DeAnza College’s many athletes to the common cause, on the field and academically.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Wednesday, December 4, 2002.
