HomeMy WebLinkAbout047 BPAC Proclamation - Word - 10.29.2002PROCLAMATION WHEREAS, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize and thank members of the Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee; and WHEREAS, many of these citizens devoted countless hours of time and personal effort to make the City of Cupertino a better community by planning and advocating for greater consideration, safety and accommodation and facilities for pedestrians and bicyclists; and WHEREAS, throughout their years of service, these individuals worked closely with the city to provide accurate information and advice on matters relating to pedestrians and bicycling to all concerned including council members, city staff and the residents of Cupertino; and WHEREAS, the City of Cupertino is pleased and proud to have this legacy of commitment in support of the beginning work of this community’s newest commission, the Bicycle Pedestrian Commission. NOW, therefore, I, Mayor Richard Lowenthal, and the Cupertino City Council, do hereby officially thank and commend the efforts of «Bernie_Album» for their diligence and dedication, as part of the Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee, in working toward a better and safer community for the people of Cupertino.
