WHEREAS, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize Crystal Children’s Choir on the occasion of its tenth anniversary; and
WHEREAS, the Crystal Children’s Choir drew its original members from a group of musically inclined Chinese-American children residing in the San Francisco Bay area and are recognized
throughout the Bay area as an outstanding choral organization for boys and girls; and
WHEREAS, the Crystal Children’s Choir develops individual vocal skill, auditory perception, facility in sight-reading, and benefit from age-appropriate training of the maturing voice,
develop an appreciation for a variety of choral literatures from classical to contemporary music around the world; and
WHEREAS, the Crystal Children’s Choir develops responsibility, self-confidence, and a love for singing, with the help of dedicated teachers and devoted parents.
NOW, therefore, I, Mayor Sandra James, and the Cupertino City Council, do hereby recognize
Crystal Children’s Choir
in recognition of its ten years of success and the artistic excellence that the organization has brought to its students, our community and the City of Cupertino.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Ninth day of July, Two-Thousand and Four.
