WHEREAS, the city of Cupertino wishes to acknowledge the creative efforts of the Cupertino Senior TV Production crew, whose volunteer members have been producing a half-hour television
show for the past 20 years; and
WHEREAS, The Better Part television show is a high quality, award-winning show that is aired three times a week on public access channels in Cupertino and in surrounding communities;
and
WHEREAS, The Better Part has consistently addressed issues of interest and concern to seniors, in all areas, including health, education, consumer protection, and many other topics;
and
WHEREAS, The Better Part has recently won a Western Access Video Excellence (WAVE) award recognizing The Better Part’s excellence in community media production for its 55 Alive Update.
NOW, therefore, I, Mayor Sandy James, and the Cupertino City Council, do hereby recognize the production crew of
The Better Part
and congratulate them their most recent WAVE Award and for the continued benefit they provide not only to seniors but to the entire community.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this 20th day of January, 2004.
