HomeMy WebLinkAbout047 Qualls Proclamation - Word - 04.27.2005WHEREAS, the League of California Cities has established the James L. Martin Award of the Public Works Officers Department in order to honor a city public works officer who has contributed
significantly toward advancing the public works profession; and,
WHEREAS, Ralph A. Qualls has made continuous and valuable contributions to the public works profession serving as Public Works Director during his 20 years of public service; and,
WHEREAS, throughout his career, Ralph has displayed and contributed outstanding service, leadership, expertise and innovation in the public works field; and,
WHEREAS, Ralph has served the League of California Cities as a Board member, and as a member of the Transportation, Communication and Public Works Policy Committee; and,
WHEREAS, as Public Works Director for the City of Cupertino, Ralph has successfully completed, on-time and under budget, Cupertino's new community hall, civic plaza and public library.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of commends Ralph A. Qualls
as the 2005 recipient Of the League of California Cities James L. Martin Award for his professional excellence and commitment to the League of California Cities, the Public Works Profession
and to the City and people of Cupertino.
