WHEREAS, on Sunday, February Sixth, Two Thousand and Five, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize Ray Kwok, and the members of his band as they help to raise funds for the Organization
of Special Needs Families; and,
WHEREAS, Ray Kwok, is a member of the Berryessa Union School District Board of Trustees, and a professor at San Jose State University, his band, called Ray Band, has performed a benefit
Chinese New Year Concert; and,
WHEREAS, the Ray Band is very popular in the Chinese community throughout the Bay Area, so it is especially appreciated that the concert was organized by Ray and his band, with many
famous local Chinese singers participating in the event; and,
WHEREAS, the event will benefit the Organization of Special Needs Families that provides essential support and resources for families, providing regularly scheduled activities including
training, resources and consultation for parents, and information and referral services to family members.
NOW, therefore, I, Mayor, Patrick Kwok, and the Cupertino City Council, do hereby recognize
Ray Kwok
in recognition and appreciation of his important and valuable service helping families in Cupertino to be healthy, happy and active members of our city and community.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Sixth day of February, Two-Thousand and Five.
