HomeMy WebLinkAbout047 Qualls2 Proclamation - Word - 05.12.2005PROCLAMATION WHEREAS, public works infrastructure, facilities and services are of vital importance to the health, safety and well-being of the people of North Dakota; and WHEREAS, it is important for the citizens and civic leaders of this state to gain knowledge of and to maintain a progressive interest in the public works needs and programs of their respective communities; and WHEREAS, public works professionals, engineers and administrators are responsible for and must design, build, operate and maintain the transportation, water supply, sewage and refuse disposal systems; public buildings; and other structures and facilities essential to serving our citizens; and WHEREAS, North Dakota’s public works professionals, engineers and administrators should be recognized for their substantial contributions to our health and welfare; and NOW, THEREFORE, as Governor of the State of North Dakota, I do hereby proclaim May 15-21, 2005, PUBLIC WORKS WEEK in the state of North Dakota. Ralph A. Qualls as the 2005 recipient of the League of California Cities James L. Martin Award for his professional excellence and commitment to the League of California Cities, the Public Works Profession and to the City and people of Cupertino. IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Tuesday, May Third, Two Thousand and Five. ________________________ Patrick S.
