WHEREAS, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize the accomplishments of the Cupertino National Little 9 and Under All Star Team on occasion of winning the 2005 District 44 All-Star
competition; and
WHEREAS, the Cupertino National Little League 9 and Under All Star Team competed against many other teams in District 44 including teams from Los Altos, Cupertino and Sunnyvale; and
WHEREAS, in a tense and difficult championship game that had everything, amazing catches, alert base running, and great clutch hitting, the Cupertino National team came from behind to
stun Mountain View; and
WHEREAS, the players of Cupertino National Little League 9 and Under All Star Team at all times conducted themselves in an exemplary manner. In the face of adversity, team members remained
upbeat and supportive throughout.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that I, Mayor Patrick Kwok, and the Cupertino City Council, do hereby commend and recognize
DAVE THOMPSON, MANAGER
for exceptional commitment, hard work and contributions to the Cupertino National Little League 9 and Under All-Star team and for winning the 2005 District 44 All-Star competition.
