WHEREAS, the city of Cupertino wishes to Joe B. McCune on the occasion of his birthday; and
WHEREAS, Joe and Gladys have lived in Cupertino since 1951; and
WHEREAS, they built their home over four years in an area that was a vineyard and bought their lot for $500; and
WHEREAS, Joe and Gladys have raised three children and now enjoy four grand children and three great grandchildren.
NOW, therefore, I, Mayor Patrick Kwok, and the Cupertino City Council do hereby recognize
Joe B. McCune
to honor he and his family, and the important role he has played in so many lives as neighbor, friend, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Fifteenth day of July, Two Thousand and Five.
