We are all honored today that our friends the Axelson’s have shared their family and their profound loss with us today.
We come together as a community, as friends, and family, to recognize the loss of Matthew.
Over the many years that he was with us, Matthew had been part of the fabric of our lives. Child, friend, neighbor, husband, son, yet his death is more than the loss of any one, or all
of these things.
I hope today that we can do more than just lament Matthew’s death, but reflect and measure our own lives by Matthew’s principles, actions, and commitment.
We cannot diminish the loss, but we can share our time, our families and our lives, measuring one another not by what we have, or what we have taken, but measuring one another by what
we give.
