WHEREAS, the city of Cupertino wishes to recognize the initiative of our local high schools; and
WHEREAS, on April Twenty-seventh, Two Thousand and Five, Monta Vista High School parents, teachers, and students held a Walk/Bike to School Day; and
WHEREAS, The event shows how adults and teens can improve local traffic, encourage healthy exercise, reduce pollution and have fun at the same time.
NOW, therefore, I, Mayor Patrick Kwok, and the Cupertino City Council, do hereby recognize
Monta Vista High School
for its dedication and exemplary work to insure the health and vitality of our students, schools and community.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Seventh day of June, Two-thousand and Five.
