WHEREAS, the city of Cupertino wishes to recognize the celebration of the Lunar New Year by parishioners at St. Joseph of Cupertino; and,
WHEREAS, St. Joseph of Cupertino Church has been a leader in serving our diverse community; and,
WHEREAS, St. Joseph of Cupertino Church has been blessed to have Bishop Patrick McGrath from the Diocese of San Jose and Father Greg Kimm to preside over the Lunar New Year Mass; and,
WHEREAS, Father Greg Kimm, from the diocese of San Jose, will lead a traditional Ancestral Ceremony service and community celebration; and,
WHEREAS, the community is profoundly grateful to Saint Joseph of Cupertino Church under the leadership of Father Bob Hayes, for his strong support of his diverse parish.
NOW, therefore, I, Mayor Patrick Kwok, and the Cupertino City Council do hereby congratulate and recognize the
Saint Joseph of Cupertino Church
on this important occasion and wish to recognize the church’s important service to the families, people and community of Cupertino.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this 8th day of February, Two Thousand and Five.
