WHEREAS, on Saturday and Sunday, October 22 and 23, Two-Thousand and Five, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize the Wafu School of Ikebana and its outstanding contributions to art
and cultural wealth of our community through art and activism; and,
WHEREAS, this marks the 35th anniversary of the California chapter through special events such as this one, our community shares its talent through these remarkable expressions of beauty,
and,
WHEREAS, the Wafu School of Ikebana exemplifies the teachings of the school with its activism and contributions to the community emphasizing harmony among the people, city and community
in which we live.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that I, Mayor Patrick Kwok, and the Cupertino City Council, do hereby commend and recognize the
Wafu School of Ikebana
for creating a better community through its active participation and charitable contributions to the people and City of Cupertino.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Saturday, October 22, Two-Thousand and Five
