WHEREAS, the city of Cupertino wishes to recognize the Cupertino Post Office on the occasion of the stamp unveiling ceremony of the Lunar New Year Souvenir Sheet on Saturday, January
Eight, Two-Thousand and Five; and
WHEREAS, The United States Postal Service has created a complete collection of commemorative stamps commemorating the twelve symbols of the Chinese zodiac; and
WHEREAS, the staff of the Cupertino Post Office have worked closely with members of our community to bring this distinctive second day cancellation to the city; and
WHEREAS, the Cupertino Post Office and its employees continue to be an essential part of the changing fabric of our community.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Mayor Patrick Kwok, and the entire Cupertino City Council, do hereby honor and commend the entire staff of the
Cupertino Post Office
for the vital services and many extra steps taken supporting the people, community and city of Cupertino.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the city of Cupertino to be affixed this Eighth day of January, Two-Thousand and Five.
