WHEREAS, the city of Cupertino wishes to recognize Community Outreach for Education and Cultural Affairs on Saturday, February Fifth for the performance of the Chinese Acrobatic Variety
Show to celebrate the Chinese New Year; and
WHEREAS, Community Outreach for Education and Cultural Affairs was established to support student exchange programs for educational and cultural enrichment and foster better communication between
peoples of diverse cultures; and
WHEREAS, for the first time ever, Community Outreach for Education and Cultural Affairs is sponsoring a local student exchange program so that students from Cupertino may visit and study
in Hsinchu, Taiwan.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Mayor Patrick Kwok, and the Cupertino City Council, do hereby recognize
Community Outreach for
Education and Cultural Affairs
in recognition of their efforts promoting the basic principles of fairness, inclusiveness, tolerance, and ethical behavior toward fellow citizens of the world.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this First day of February 2005.
