WHEREAS, the city of Cupertino wishes to recognize the outstanding service and conduct of Sandie and Andrew Zander; and,
WHEREAS, Sandie has run a successful business in Cupertino appropriately named “Let’s Party’ accurately reflecting the nature of her business and her character; and,
WHEREAS, Sandie has been the Executive Director of the Fremont Union High Schools Foundation serving as a vital charitable pillar for excellence in local education; and,
WHEREAS, Sandie has been on the Board of Directors and Secretary for the Rotary Club of Cupertino, a preeminent local service club that continues to serve as a cornerstone of the local
community; and,
WHEREAS, Andy was a Public Safety Commissioner for many years, an occupation that has left a positive and indelible mark on our community; and,
WHEREAS, Andy has been a CARES volunteer for many years; and,
WHEREAS, Sandie and Andrew are respected leaders, cherished friends and a beloved member of our community.
NOW, therefore, I, Mayor Richard Lowenthal, and the Cupertino City Council do hereby recognize
Sandie and Andrew Zander
for excellence in volunteer service to the people, families and city of Cupertino.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Twenthy-Fifth day of September 2006.
