WHEREAS, the city of Cupertino extends its warmest greetings to New Tang Dynasty Television as it celebrates the Chinese New Year; and
WHEREAS, the Chinese New Year is a time for family to come together, reflect on the past, and to celebrate new beginnings; and
WHEREAS, Cupertino’s Chinese American community has made innumerable contributions to the city’s development and vitality; and
WHEREAS, NTDTV’s celebration promises to be a rich, meaningful and memorable cultural event. The evening will showcase the beauty and grace of China’s classical heritage as well as the
West’s great artistic traditions.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the mayor and city council of the city of Cupertino do hereby recognize the
NTDTV 2006
Chinese New Year Gala
and calls upon the residents of Cupertino to work for a better tomorrow where more people can enjoy peace and freedom, this year, and for many years to come.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this 12th day of February 2006.
