WHEREAS, Kim Marie Smith, City Clerk for the city of Cupertino, has earned a designation as Master Municipal Clerk (MMC); and
WHEREAS, this is the highest recognition given by the International Institute of Municipal Clerks and signifies the completion of the third level of the IIMC Master Municipal Clerk Academy
and recognizes Kimberly’s exemplary performance as a municipal clerk at the local, state, national, and global level; and
WHEREAS, the Master Municipal Clerk Academy was established so that municipal clerks may demonstrate their abilities and knowledge to proactively problem solve, plan, and communicate
in a manner that is conducive to the health of local government and community; and
WHEREAS, during her years of service to the city of Cupertino, Kimberly has consistently demonstrated the highest standards of service to all residents and has effectively demonstrated
herself equal to the profound challenges of clarifying, regulating and documenting the deliberations of our local government, city council, and our community.
NOW, therefore, the mayor and city council of Cupertino, do hereby recognize
Kim Marie Smith
on the occasion of her designation as Master Municipal Clerk, and for her invaluable and essential support of local government and the community.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Twenty-First day of March 2006.
