HomeMy WebLinkAbout047 Cricket Leadership Merged Proclamation - Word - 07.18.2006PROCLAMATION WHEREAS, The first US National Junior Cricket Tournament hosted by California Cricket Academy in Cupertino, concluded on Sunday June 25, 2006 with the host teams winning all the three finals in all age groups; and WHEREAS, the California Cricket Academy has continued to build a tradition of excellence and pride in its positive approach to supportive and competitive cricket; and WHEREAS, the California Cricket Academy achievement is rooted in their commitment to hard work as individuals and a team; and WHEREAS, the success of the California Cricket Academy is rooted in its commitment to the success of the sport of cricket and to the success of those who play it. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that I, Mayor Richard Lowenthal, and the Cupertino City Council, do hereby commend and recognize Ram Varadrajan Chairman of the Tournament Committee for exceptional commitment, hard work and contributions to the California Cricket Academy and for the outstanding accomplishments of the first US National Junior Cricket Tournament.
