WHEREAS, on Friday, October Twelfth, Two Thousand and Seven, the
City of Cupertino wishes to recognize Han Ong, a former head of CPUC
Large Water Utilities Section, at the 550, Annual Overseas Chinese Day
and "Outstanding Chinese Americans of the Year" Award celebration;
and
WHEREAS, the event will be held by the Chinese Consolidated
Benevolent Association (CCBA) and the Chinese Consolidated Woman's
Association (CCWA); and
WHEREAS, Han Ong has achieved excellence in his field and has made
significant contributions; and
WHEREAS, Han's work has greatly impacted his counterparts in the
United States.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of
Cupertino, do hereby commend and recognize
Han Ong
in appreciation of his efforts, contributions, and valuable services to the
community.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal
of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Friday, October Twelfth, Two
Thousand and Seven.
