WHEREAS, on Friday, October Twelfth, Two Thousand and Seven, the
City of Cupertino wishes to recognize Anni Chung, President and CEO of
Self -Help for the Elderly, at the 55th Annual Overseas Chinese Day and
"Outstanding Chinese Americans of the Year" Award celebration; and
WHEREAS, the event will be held by the Chinese Consolidated
Benevolent Association (CCBA) and the Chinese Consolidated Woman's
Association (CCWA); and
WHEREAS, Anni Chung has achieved excellence in her field and has
made significant contributions; and
WHEREAS, Anni's work has greatly impacted her counterparts in the
United States.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of
Cupertino, do hereby commend and recognize
Anni Chung
in appreciation of her efforts, contributions, and valuable services to the
community.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal
of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Friday, October Twelfth, Two
Thousand and Seven.
