WHEREAS, Devon Warren, 14 years old, has been an active member and volunteer with the Northwest YMCA since 2005, and;
WHEREAS, Devon began by volunteering at the front desk and now volunteers at the Teen Center, and;
WHEREAS, Devon is a good role model at the Teen Center where he demonstrates the four core values in assisting the staff with the teens or projects, and;
WHEREAS, Devon’s participation in the 2006 Community Support Campaign helped the Teen Center raise $1,500, and;
WHEREAS, Devon is so dedicated that last summer while all his friends from the Teen Center were attending day camp, he continued volunteering at the front desk.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the city of Cupertino commends,
Devon Warren
as Teen Volunteer of the Year at the Northwest YMCA, and in acknowledging, with great pride, his positive impact on the community.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Tuesday, March Sixth, Two Thousand and Seven.
