WHEREAS, on Sunday, October Twenty-Eighth, Two Thousand and Seven, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize the United States Army Volunteers Reserve (USAVR); and
WHEREAS, the primary mission of the United States Army Volunteers Reserve is to provide dedicated men and women – volunteers to render Final Military Honors to deceased veterans or the
active military and reserve forces of the United States of America and Allies; and
WHEREAS, the United States Army Volunteers Reserve participates with the military funeral honors program in the National Cemetery for veterans who have served in defense of our country;
and
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby commend and recognize the
United States Army Volunteers Reserve (USAVR)
in appreciation of their efforts, contributions, and valuable services to the community.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Sunday, October Twenty-Eighth, Two Thousand and Seven.
