WHEREAS, on Saturday, November Tenth, Two Thousand and Seven, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize the Silicon Valley Korean American Alliance (SVKAA); and
WHEREAS, the theme of SVKAA’s 3rd annual Scholarship Award Night and Dinner Gala is “Education and Future”; and
WHEREAS, we wish to honor the more than 3,000 representatives and members from the eight Korean-American non-profit organizations co-hosting this event; and
WHEREAS, we wish to celebrate and acknowledge the excellent academic and musical achievements of those brilliant and talented youths who have great potential to overcome their misfortune
and poverty to become future leaders.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby recognize the
Silicon Valley Korean American Alliance
in appreciation of SVKAA’s vision, united efforts, contributions, and valuable services throughout to the community.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Saturday, November Tenth, Two Thousand and Seven.
