WHEREAS, on Tuesday, December Eighteenth, Two Thousand and Seven, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize STRIKE Cupertino, a multimedia bowling and entertainment venue located at
Cupertino Square; and
WHEREAS, the holiday season can cause increased financial hardships for many families in need; and
WHEREAS, STRIKE Cupertino’s Executive General Manager, David Gneckow, approached Cupertino Community Services (CCS) to see how the two organizations might partner to address those hardships;
and
WHEREAS, SYSCO Food Services generously donated the food for this very special partnership and charity event; and
WHEREAS, SYSCO Food Services’ enthusiasm and professionalism inspired employees, local officials, Cupertino Community Services board members, staff and community members to volunteer
their time to serve the meals to CCS clients and their families; and
WHEREAS, on Thursday, November Twenty-Second, SYSCO Food Services provided food for nearly three hundred people in need, who enjoyed a fun and free Thanksgiving, featuring a special
holiday meal, bowling, and arcade games.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby commend and recognize
SYSCO Food Services
for their outstanding efforts to serve families in need and to express our appreciation for their generosity.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Tuesday, December Eighteenth, Two Thousand and Seven.
