WHEREAS, on Tuesday, October Second, Two Thousand and Seven, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize Paula Ahrens for her outstanding contributions to the renovation of the De Anza
College Planetarium; and
WHEREAS, the De Anza College Planetarium is currently the most advanced in the western United States; and
WHEREAS, Paula Ahrens joined Community Education in 1999 as Program Coordinator to assist the Dean of Community Education, coordinate the Extended Year Summer Enrichment Program, and
support the De Anza College Planetarium facility and staff; and
WHEREAS, Paula has a unique perspective combined with an enthusiastic sense of humor, which enables her to connect with members of the community.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby commend and recognize
Paula Ahrens
for her efforts and contributions and the role she has played in helping create a place where people can be entertained and enjoy learning.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Tuesday, October Second, Two Thousand and Seven.
