WHEREAS, on Saturday, September Twenty-Ninth, Two Thousand and Seven, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize the Moon Festival of Silicon Valley, on the occasion of the seventh annual
Moon Festival held at Cupertino’s Memorial Park; and
WHEREAS, many volunteers have tirelessly participated in our community and in cultural events to promote an understanding of Chinese culture and heritage; and
WHEREAS, the city supports the Moon Festival’s contributions to our community and the efforts to preserve the history and traditions associated with this event.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby recognize the
Moon Festival of Silicon Valley
for its outstanding contributions to help promote cultural, international and community understanding.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Saturday, September Twenty-Ninth, Two Thousand and Seven.
