WHEREAS, on Thursday, September Twenty-Seventh, Two Thousand and Seven, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize Sergeant Janet E. Shannon for her thirty years of service with the Santa
Clara County Sheriff’s Office; and
WHEREAS, Janet, working as a Deputy and later as a Sergeant, has always been willing and available to give her time and service to the community; and
WHEREAS, Janet’s reputation of extreme professionalism, dedication, and volunteerism to the community and community events has touched many families and community members; and
WHEREAS, Janet has been recognized by the Domestic Violence Council and the Santa Clara County Department of Children and Family Services for her exceptional devotion to the victims
and families of Domestic Violence; and
WHEREAS, Janet Shannon was a Cupertino CREST Award winner and Cupertino Deputy of the Year.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby commend and recognize
Janet E. Shannon
for her excellent work in improving the quality of life for people and for her outstanding contributions.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Thursday, September Twenty-Seventh, Two Thousand and Seven.
