WHEREAS, on Wednesday, September Fifth, Two Thousand and Seven, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize India Community Center, a non-profit organization that works in making a positive
difference in the community; and
WHEREAS, the India Community Center provides social, cultural, recreational and community programs that help unite people; and
WHEREAS, the center has created a place for families and friends to come together and also provides support in areas such as health and senior support; and
WHEREAS, the India Community Center promotes awareness and understanding of the Indian-American subculture.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby commend and recognize the
India Community Center
for creating an environment that can unite the community and raise awareness about Indian culture in the local community.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Wednesday, September Fifth, Two Thousand and Seven.
