WHEREAS, the city of Cupertino wishes to recognize John Hirokawa, who is being duly acknowledged for his outstanding service and contributions to the people of Cupertino; and
WHEREAS, John has served and protected the citizens of Cupertino dealing with threats including petty theft, armed robbery, budget shortfalls and countless other events both large and
small; and
WHEREAS, the city wishes to express its gratitude to John for the dedication, professionalism and responsiveness he has consistently shown to Cupertino and demonstrated by example during
his capable tenure at the Sheriff’s Westside Station; and
WHEREAS, John has shown his commitment to the city and people he has served as a contributing member of the city’s executive team and as a willing volunteer for many charitable events.
NOW, therefore, the Cupertino City Council and Mayor do hereby congratulate and recognize
John Hirokawa
and offer him our most sincere gratitude and good wishes for continued success in all of his future endeavors.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this 16th day of May 2007.
