WHEREAS, on Friday, October Twenty-Sixth, Two Thousand and Seven, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize the Global Alliance for Democracy and Peace (GADP) at the Sixth Annual World
Convention of the GADP; and
WHEREAS, GADP is devoted to promoting the people’s welfare in Taiwan, regardless of their origin or political affiliation; and
WHEREAS, GADP also aims to unite the communities in their efforts to promote the universal values of democracy and peace; and
WHEREAS, the international community will be called upon to recognize the importance of enhancing the stability, security and prosperity across the Taiwan Strait.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby commend and recognize the
Global Alliance for Democracy and Peace (GADP)
for their excellent work in improving the quality of life for people and for their outstanding contributions.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Friday, October Twenty-Sixth, Two Thousand and Seven.
