WHEREAS, on Tuesday, November Thirteenth, Two Thousand and Seven, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize Cupertino Union School District Board Member, George Tyson; and
WHEREAS, George Tyson is a strong supporter of the Cupertino Educational Endowment Foundation (CEEF); and
WHEREAS, George has served as the School Site Council President for Stevens Creek Elementary School and Kennedy Middle School; and
WHEREAS, he has been a member of the Cupertino Union School District’s Budget Advisory Committee and a member of the Measure “C” Bond Oversight Committee; and
WHEREAS, he was elected to the Cupertino Union School District Board of Education in 2003, where he served as the Clerk, Vice-President, and President of the Board.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby commend and recognize
George Tyson
for his efforts and contributions and for keeping the interests of all students in the forefront of his decisions.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Tuesday, November Thirteenth, Two Thousand and Seven.
