WHEREAS, American architects have combined advances in building technology with design innovation to enliven our cities and communities; and
WHEREAS, American architects have expressed the richness of our nation’s heritage and the vitality of its spirit; and
WHEREAS, the architecture profession has been vigilant in its stewardship of many of our great architectural and historic treasures and in its efforts of building healthy, safe, livable,
and sustainable communities; and
WHEREAS, this year marks the 150th Anniversary of the American Institute of Architects.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby recognize, April 9-14, 2007, as
Cupertino Architecture Week
a week that pays tribute to the Architects of America and the American Institute of Architects.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Tuesday, September Fourth, Two Thousand and Seven.
