WHEREAS, on Thursday, December Fourth, Two Thousand and Eight, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize Joanne Benjamin; and
WHEREAS, Joanne was Santa Clara County Cities Association (SCCCA) Executive Director from November First, Two Thousand and Five to October Thirty-First, Two Thousand and Eight; and
WHEREAS, she was also President of SCCCA in Nineteen Ninety-Eight and served on the SCCCA Board for many years; and
WHEREAS, Joanne served on the Los Gatos Council from November, Nineteen Eighty-Two to December, Nineteen Ninety-Eight; and
WHEREAS, since the Los Gatos Mayor is elected for a one-year term by the council and Joanne was on the Council four terms, she was elected Mayor four different times; and
WHEREAS, Joanne served the students of Los Gatos High School with fervor and enthusiasm and left behind many great friends when she retired.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby commend and recognize
Joanne Benjamin
for her dedication and outstanding work she has done for the Santa Clara County Cities Association and for the entire region.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Thursday, December Fourth, Two Thousand and Eight.
