WHEREAS, on Tuesday, August Fifth, Two Thousand and Eight, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize Hema Kundargi, for her Cupertino public access show ‘Indian Vegetarian Gourmet’;
and
WHEREAS, 'Indian Vegetarian Gourmet' won the prestigious national '2008 Hometown Video festival Award' in the instruction category; and
WHEREAS, public access shows from 50 states compete for this award every year; and
WHEREAS, winners are determined by how well the entry represents the qualities appropriate for its category, the extent to which it develops and maintains viewer interest, the match
of program content to production format or style, the unique or creative way it approaches its subject, technical competence, and how effectively the program represents the intent of
the producer as described in the support materials; and
WHEREAS, Hema Kundargi produces, hosts and edits 'Indian Vegetarian Gourmet'; and
WHEREAS, the majority of Hema’s talented crew members are from the Cupertino Senior Center and the KMVT staff.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby commend and recognize
Hema Kundargi
for her outstanding work, dedication, and thank her for communicating and sharing her passion to the community.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Tuesday, August Fifth, Two Thousand and Eight.
