WHEREAS, on Wednesday, January Thirtieth, Two Thousand and Eight, the City of Cupertino wishes to recognize Firefighter Sam Liu at the State of the City Address; and
WHEREAS, as a 15-year veteran of the fire service, Firefighter Liu has served in the Cupertino community for eight years; and
WHEREAS, Firefighter Liu is an essential member of the County Fire team and a key figure in helping to ensure County Fire delivers a level of emergency response that is highly regarded
throughout the region; and
WHEREAS, Firefighter Liu is a graduate of the United States Army’s “Advanced Chemical and Biological Integrated Response Course” and has extensive training and experience with the California
Army National Guard 95th Civil Support Team.
NOW, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of Cupertino, do hereby commend and recognize
Sam Liu
for his outstanding work, dedication, and service to the Santa Clara County Fire Department and the communities it serves.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Wednesday, January Thirtieth, Two Thousand and Eight.
